Luna De Rosa, born in Lanciano, Italy, is an activist and conceptual artist who works and lives between Berlin and Milan. Graduated and with a master in Visual Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera, Milan, she has collaborated with various foundations, galleries and international artists. Interested in performance, the body is definitely the starting point of her artistic work, both as an object and as a container, through interventions in the public sphere, she expresses the relationship that connects the body with the social context that governs it and essentially defines it.

In recent years, her artistic work has been focusing on the vulnerability of many ethnic minorities, in particular the Roma, to whom she belongs, due to discrimination, racism and hostility. Themes such as issues of identity, race, gender, sexuality, and the continuing violence and exclusion against those perceived as ‘other’ in society are very important in her work, as is the issue of fragility.
