Antje Weitzel works as a curator and project manager in Berlin. She has been a staff member in the artistic office of the Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art since 2012, and has been responsible for the Biennale’s project management since 2014. She has also run and curated the project space uqbar since 2007, which received an award for its work from the Senate Chancellery for Cultural Affairs in 2013. Her recent curatorial projects include Persisting Realities, CTM Festival 2019, Kunstraum Kreuzberg Bethanien (2019), Reframing Worlds – Mobility and Gender from a Postcolonial, Feminist Perspective at Neue Gesellschaft für Bildende Kunst and Galerie im Körnerpark (2017-2018), as well as the first two editions of Berliner Herbstsalon at Maxim Gorki Theater and Palais am Festungsgraben (2013, 2015). For the latest edition of the Berliner Herbstsalon 2019, she is acting in an advisory capacity. She is also a member of the Berlin Council for the Arts.
